MICHELLE BEHRENS SILEO: Owner, Director, and Instructor
Michelle has been dancing for almost 30 years. She started her training when she was three years old at Angela’s Dance Studio, taking classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. In high school Michelle danced at Mary Kay Manning Dance Studio where she was able to take classes in hip hop, lyrical, and pointe as well.

During her high school years Michelle had the opportunity to participate in various competitions throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. She performed in group and solo divisions in the numerous genres she studied. Also during this time, Michelle was a member of the Padua Franciscan High School Dance Team and named co-Captain her senior year.

Michelle graduated from Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her BS in Dance. Her focus was on studio management, and she also minored in business. Michelle was involved in various performances; including the annual Faculty / Guest Artist Concert where she was able to work with choreographers such as Sherry Jerome, Joann McNamara, Amy Cova, Julianne O’Brien-Pedersen and several others. Through the dance program at EMU, Michelle debuted her original choreography in several student composition concerts. She also performed and choreographed for the Eastern Michigan University Dance Team.

Over the years Michelle has had numerous dance experiences that supplemented her training. In 2002 and 2003, she attended the Summer Intensive Workshops at Broadway Dance Center where she worked with Jermaine Browne and Brian Friedman. She also attended three years of American College Dance Festival from 2003-2006; where she took classes with dance professors from colleges all over the United States. She regularly attends the Pulse Teacher Workshop in New York City every summer where she takes classes from the likes of Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, and Wade Robson among others.

Michelle has over 10 years of teaching experience. She instructs students of all ages and ability levels in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, contemporary, and pointe classes. Most recently, Michelle has become a certified acro teacher having completed both Module 1 and 2 in the Acrobatic Arts Certification course.

Michelle opened Dance Studio M in 2007 She has directed and choreographed Dance Studio M's all dance revues of Chicago, Lion King, Wicked, In The Heights, Darn Yankees, Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins and Annie; as well as Dance Studio M's eight annual recitals.


CHRISTY SENYES: Instructor
Christy Senyes has over 20 years of dance experience in tap, jazz, and ballet. In addition, she has over six years of experience instructing dance, four of which were at Dance Studio M. Christy had the opportunity to work at Bobbie Barna’s Dance Studio Ltd. where she was a teachers’ assistant and later a choreographer and instructor. She continues to teach the style of rhythm tap that Bobbie Barna taught. Christy has been extensively trained in numerous dance forms but her true passion is tap which she enjoys passing on to her students.

Christy graduated from Kent State University with a BA in psychology and business and also spent time there furthering her dance training. Currently, she is earning a M.Ed. in School Counseling at Kent State University.


JENNIFER SOBLE: Instructor
Jennifer Soble began her dance training with Mary Spaniola and Jordan Leitson in North East Ohio. She is a recent graduate from Ohio University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography. During her time at OU, she choreographed numerous pieces and had the opportunity to perform works by Glady’s Bailin-Stern, Christine Cali, Travis Gatling, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Zelma Badu-Younge. Jennifer is currently in her first season performing with Real Edge Dance in Akron, Ohio. Jennifer found a passion for teaching at Ohio University and wants to mold young students to achieve their fullest potential. She currently resides in Cleveland, where she was born.

JENNIFER WADE: Instructor
Jennifer Wade earned her teaching degree from Ohio University with a minor in dance. Jennifer has studied with Joanne Morscher, Dee Hillier, Troy McCarty, David Strobbe, Ana Lobe, Lynn Tabor, Mary Jo Rimke, the late Josh Widick, Kenya Woods, Sean Curran, Earl Mosley, Joanne de Souz, Zelma Badu-Yonge, Paschal Yao-Young, the faculty of Ohio University and countless others. Jennifer was selected to attend the American Theater Dance Workshop in NYC. She was a company member of Azaguno African Contemporary Dance Company from 2005 to 2009 which allowed her to perform in New Jersey, Ohio, South Korea, Italy and China. Jennifer is highly trained in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, musical theater, Indian, and African drumming and dance. Jennifer continues her training at Ballet Met, with reknowned Dee Hillier and in open classes throughout the Cleveland area. In addition to traditional dance she has been a teaching assistant for Dancing Classrooms on NE Ohio since 2008 where she has brought ballroom dance to classrooms in both the Cleveland area and Columbus. In the past 7 years Jennifer has taught in dance studios in both the Cleveland and Columbus areas and her competition teams have won the highest awards. In 2011 she earned Best Choreography at Hollywood Vibe for her dance REDEEMED. 

EMILY JEAN JAROSZ: Instructor
Jarosz is a third year student at Kent State University working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies. She is a Cleveland native and plans to push Ohio as a forefront for dance. Jarosz has trained under Jen Naso Marinis, Kathie Nejman, Dee Hillier, Joan Meggitt, Barbara Allegra Verlezza, Kim Karpanty, MaryAnn Black, and Jeffery Marc Rockland. She has also taken a variety of master classes from Nate Allen Smith, Erin Marino, Stephanie Turek, Ian Eastwood, Natalie Rogers-Cropper, Oberlin Dance Company, and Gregory A. King. She is proficient in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary. Jarosz hopes to join a professional modern or contemporary dance company as well as educate other aspiring dancers of all ages.

LINDSAY RAZO: Instructor
Lindsay Razo has over 19 years of dance experience. She began dance training with Regina Pringle at Reach for the Stars dance studio outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Their she received training ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theater and hip hop. She began competing in local and national competitions. Lindsay moved to Ohio during college while attending the University of Akron with majoring in child and family development with a minor in dance. Throughout college, she taught at various dance studios and choreographed competition dances that won high score awards as well as best choreography awards. Lindsay has a passion for teaching dance, she's love the possibilities dance can bring to a persons life.

NINA LUPICA: Instructor
Nina Lupica began her dance training at Sharon's School of Dance at the age of 2, where she began taking classes in ballet and tap. Later years, Nina moved on to compete and train with Mary Spaniola located in Northeast, Ohio. During her time training with them she was in a Tap show in NYC tapping along side well known choreographers and dancers; Sarah Savelli, Savion Glover, and Ayodele Casal. Nina moved on in her late teens to train strictly ballet under principle ballerina Poppy Dinse, as well as, cheering throughout her high school years. Nina attended the University of Akron studying Dance with a Business Cognate, while studying she taught at a local dance studio choreographing their company numbers to all ages, in all genres. Nina has a passion for helping kids grow as respectable dancers, as well as, into young adults.

BARBARA HOWITT: Office Manager
A native of Vermilion, Ohio, Barbara spent her formative school years training in theatre and music before graduating from Kent State University with a BA in telecommunications and music. A 30-year resident of the Cleveland area, Barbara has worked with a variety of artistic professionals and settings, including Sylvia Ullman’s American Crafts art gallery in Shaker Hts, holiday season roles as a costumed caroler for the Broadview Hts Spotlight Theater, a performer with the Legacy Singers, and as an actor for Brecksville Theatre on the Square. Barbara is also an accomplished voiceover artist with over 25 years worth of local credits in broadcast radio. She is excited to play a part with the dance ensemble at Dance Studio M and advance its mission with enthusiasm and professionalism.
