Summer Technique Tuesday Classes
Combo Classes (Ages 3-7)
Ballet / Tap 3-4
Ages: 3-4
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 4:30-5:15pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights, pink leather ballet shoes and black patent leather or matte tie tap shoes. **Attached or separate skirt is optional. Dancers may bring tank tops, shorts, etc. to layer over their leotard/tights after the ballet portion of class**
Ballet / Tap 5-7
Ages: 5-7

Acro 5-7
Ages: 5-7
Acro is a way for dancers to establish and improve tumbling skills and flexibility. Classes are designed to teach dancers different acrobatic tricks which they will learn to control.
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 5:15-6:00pm
What to wear: Leotard, shorts (any color). Convertible or footless tights. No loose fitting clothes. Barefeet.
Single Discipline Classes (Ages 8+)
8-12 Stretch + Strength
Ages: 8-12
Stretch + Strength class is a great class to enhance the dancers physical fitness through flexibility, endurance, and strength training. Classes are designed to increase the dancers flexibility and strength that will benefit them in all genres.
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 4:30-5:15pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights (any color). Layered activewear: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or pants permitted. Barefeet.
Jumps/Leaps/Turns
Ages: 8-12, 13+
Borrowing from yoga, dancers are able to take their time and really warm up their bodies to reach the full potential of their muscles. Focus is required for the repetitive nature of this class, which will ultimately allow dancers to increase their flexibility. Progressions is the perfect class for the dancer who loves doing "across the floors" in their jazz class. Dancer's are able to build their jazz technique by learning simple combinations that become progressively more difficult throughout the year. Think jumps. leaps, and turns with little pieces of choreography mixed in
Summer Class Time: 8-12 - Tuesday 5:15-6:00pm
13+ - Tuesday 5:15-6:00pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights (any color). Layered activewear: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or pants permitted. Tan Bloch “Super Jazz” slip on shoes.
Contemporary
Ages: 8-12, 13+
Finds the balance between ballet and jazz. The free-moving nature of the genre allows the dancer to explore their technique in a creative atmosphere.
Summer Class Time: 8-12 - Tuesday 6:00-6:45pm
13+ - Tuesday 6:00-6:45pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights (any color). Layered activewear: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or pants permitted. Capezio “Hanami” Pirouette shoes.
8-12 Jazz + Musical Theatre
Ages: 8-12
This class will combine classic jazz dance with musical theatre. Dancers will focus on proper jazz technique, rhythm, flexibility, and performance skills.
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 6:45-7:30pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights (any color). Layered activewear: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or pants permitted. Tan Bloch “Super Jazz” slip on shoes.
Commercial Jazz
Ages: 13+
Commercial jazz is a stylised fusion of jazz, funk, and hip hop often seen in commercials, music videos, and on TV.
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 6:45-7:30pm
What to wear: Leotard and tights (any color). Layered activewear: form fitting t-shirt or tank top, leggings or pants permitted. Tan Bloch “Super Jazz” slip on shoes.
Adult Classes
Adult Ballet, Stretch and Strength
Ages: 18+
Ballet is the founding discipline of dance. Dancers will focus on strengthening their bodies through ballet barre and center floor exercises while also improving their flexibility.
Summer Class Time: Tuesday 6:00-6:45pm
Adult Tap
Ages: 18+
Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies. Dancers are taught concepts such as syncopation and precision.
