Technique Classes
Single discipline technique classes are offered for dances ages 10-18.
Genres include Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap, Acro, Hip Hop and Pointe. We focus on mastering technical elements of each genre, learning choreography, and performance quality. See below for class descriptions and approximate age descriptions.

Ballet
Ballet is the founding discipline of dance. Dancers are trained to be strong and precise by performing exercises at the barre and in center floor. There is a repetitive nature to a ballet class which allows dancers to perfect their technique. Ballet is an extremely important discipline for anyone who chooses to dance because all other dance techniques are drawn from it.

Jumps / Leaps / Turns
Borrowing from yoga, dancers are able to take their time and really warm up their bodies to reach the full potential of their muscles. Focus is required for the repetitive nature of this class, which will ultimately allow dancers to increase their flexibility. Progressions is the perfect class for the dancer who loves doing "across the floors" in their jazz class. Dancer's are able to build their jazz technique by learning simple combinations that become progressively more difficult throughout the year. Think jumps. leaps, and turns with little pieces of choreography mixed in!
